Becoming a Business Analyst

A Business Analyst (BA) is someone who analyzes the existing or ideal organization and design of systems, including businesses, departments and organizations. BAs also assess business models and their integration with technology.

What do business analysts essentially do? At the most basic level, a business analyst acts as a translator or liaison between the customer or user and the IT person or group attempting to meet this user’s needs. In a nutshell, business analysts are ‘responsible for identifying the business needs of their clients and stakeholders, to determine solutions to business problems.’
